Hello, my name is Ryan Meyer,

I am currently attending Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri.  I am in my last semester and will be graduating in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation, with minors in Biology and Agronomy.  I started my college career at Baker University in Kansas, on a Cross Country and Track Scholarship.  After one season I realized I wanted to devote more time to achieving my academic goals and that is when I transferred to Missouri State University.

I grew up on a small family farm in East Central Missouri. My family raised bottle calves, turkeys, and chickens when I was younger.  I have been fascinated with the outdoors and hunting ever since I was little and went scouting for the first time.

I am currently employed with theUniversityofMissouri Columbia(Mizzou), at their research center located inMount Vernon,Missouri.  I have been working with them for the past year and a half.  In that time I have been involved with burning off fields, constructing a green house and a walk in cold room, collecting data for different research projects, and many other odd jobs. 

I have recently put together a mock Management Plan for some hunting ground inNorthern Missouri.  This ground is owned by my uncle and I think I have sold him on trying to implement this plan soon.

I am looking to get a job with a deer farm and/or deer hunting outfitter because growing or farming deer has intrigued me since I was young. I really want to get my foot into the business and start to learn what it takes to run the day to day duties of a deer farm or outfitting business.

I am a hard, dependable worker and would love the chance to work with your company.
